Theme Song

I just finished the January issue of Real Simple magazine while getting new tires. Out of all 12 issues that I've received over the year, the article about finding your theme song really hit a note with me. Over the last seven months, I've often needed a theme song to help me with my confidence. Often I've repeated the mantra, "Easy, Breezy, Cover Girl!" to help give me a boost. It works!

But now I've identified my theme song: "One" from "A Chorus Line". I remember singing this soundtrack when my mom got it on 8 track back in the 80's. I fancied myself a dancer back then and loved this song.

"One singular sensation
Every little step she takes.
One thrilling combination
Every move that she makes.
One smile and suddenly nobody else will do;
You know you'll never be lonely with you know who.
One moment in her presence
And you can forget the rest.
For the girl is second best
To none,
Son.
Ooooh! Sigh! Give her your attention.
Do...I...really have to mention?
She's the...
She's the...
She's the...
One!"

I'll remember these lines the next time I have an interview, important meeting or have to walk into a room or the pool area, populated with unknown or unfriendly folks.

What's your theme song?

Very nice... I expect a theme dance to go along with your theme song next time I see you.

I myself like Shaking the Tree by Peter Gabriel as a theme song.
